Heather lives for and because of the horses. She has a strong connection with and love for them and believes that horses can be great facilitators of growth, change, love and healing. Horses have transformed her life and her mission is now to help others to experience the power of horses.

Heather grew up with horses and began her professional horsewoman career at the age of 14 working at an Arabian horse farm after school. Heather has since studied with some of the best Arabian trainers in the industry.

Heather studied Psychology at Albany State University & Grand Canyon University. She has worked as a Behavioral Health Technician for more than 10 years and specializes in working with adolescents and patients suffering from addiction and mood disorders.

In addition to her work at Hunkapi, Heather currently owns and operates a Classical Horseback Riding Academy at one of the most prestigious farms in Scottsdale, where she is an assistant to Dressage trainer Missy Gilliland.

Heather is an active competitor in Western Dressage and serves on the board of the Western Dressage Association of Arizona. She and her family operate a small Arabian horse breeding program in Glendale, AZ.
